Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-17

Draft for review. Fill in the items in [square brackets] and have a lawyer check this before launch.

Agreement

These terms are between you and [Your business name] ("we", "us") and cover your use of Brainnic. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and be the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password safe, and for supervising how your child uses Brainnic.

What Brainnic does

You give us study notes, and Brainnic uses AI to write practice questions for your child. It is a revision aid. It does not replace teaching, and it is not an official exam or assessment.

AI can make mistakes. Questions, answers and explanations are checked automatically but may still be wrong or not match your child's syllabus. Please look over anything important, and use the "check the notes" step after uploading a photo. The tutor chat is general guidance, not professional or medical advice.

Focus mode

Quizzes run in a focused mode that warns when the quiz window is left and can submit the quiz automatically. This discourages switching away but cannot stop every kind of distraction or help from outside, such as another device.

Free trial and wallet units

  • New accounts get a small number of free quizzes. A free quiz can have a limited number of questions, shown on the Wallet page.
  • After that, you pay with units from your wallet. A quiz costs a set number of units per question, shown on the Wallet page before you make it.
  • Units are bought in packs with Stripe or Paystack. Prices are shown before you pay. Units do not expire.
  • If a quiz cannot be made, the units are returned to your wallet. Units have no cash value and are not transferable.
  • [Refunds: state your policy here, for example whether unused units are refundable and within how many days.]

We may change prices or the units each quiz costs with reasonable notice. Units you already hold keep their value.

What you give us

You must have the right to use the notes, photos and documents you upload, and they must be suitable for a family service. Don't upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that belongs to someone else without permission. You keep ownership of what you upload; you give us permission to process it to provide the service.

Acceptable use

  • Don't misuse, overload or try to break into the service, or try to read the answers before a quiz is submitted.
  • Don't use automated tools to make large numbers of quizzes or chats; fair-use limits apply.
  • Don't share your account with people outside your household.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Our content

Brainnic, its design and its software belong to us. You may use the quizzes we create for you for your family's own revision.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Brainnic running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features, and will give notice of changes that matter.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for exam results, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. [Have a lawyer confirm this clause for your country.]

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on the Privacy & data page (cancel any paid plan first). We may close accounts that break these terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [country or state]. Questions? Email oluwafolakemiolanrewaju@gmail.com.
